The urban development and architectural studies were conducted by ORG2 (http://urbanism.orgpermod.com/projects/kinsuka-garden-of-knowledge/), an architectural firm based in New York and Brussels that is well known for its innovative, consensus-based solutions.
Project
TEXAF will build a new district on an 87-ha site by the river, comprising 1,500 homes and all necessary infrastructure and facilities (roads, water supply system, schools, shops, hospitals, sports and leisure spaces). Expected to take several years to complete, the properties in this project are mainly intended for sale to Congo’s burgeoning middle class. Construction quality and durability are key to the project. Particular attention given to the environment, with plenty of green spaces, environmentally friendly buildings and low energy consumption all important aspects.
